Rene Marie Russo was an American actor, filmmaker, and supermodel. Famous for her stunning beauty, her longevity in the highly competitive film industry reflects her talent and skills as an actress. She began her career modeling in the 1970s and soon became one of the most well-known models. As early as the 1990s she was enrolled in acting and theatre. Rose Namajunas has been one of the most prominent UFC female athletes. She began her professional career in amateur fights, in which she competed for various regional promotions. Then she joined Invicta Fighting Championships before joining Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC). Her accomplishments both in and out of the Octagon has created her as a household brand since she joined the UFC. Namajunas is a Lithuanian immigrant who was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 29, 1992. Rose participated in basketball as well as kickboxing when she was growing as a teenager. Her first appearance as a professional fighter at the age of 18 for Invicta Fighting Championships in which she managed to win two matches by submission. Dana White noticed this and the following month, in December 2014, age 22, Rose signed with the UFC's strawweight division. In the course of Rose her career, she's had periods of levels of highs and lows while each times she has come out ahead. Rose had a fight with Carla Esparza in April 2015 for the Women's Strawweight Championship. The fight was won with a technical knockout just three minutes in the initial round. It was the first ever occasion that a female fighter competed for a title title with any of the major promotions in the world. Namajunas then went on to take home a number of other victories. She also beat Joanna Jedrzejczyk two times, earning her Performance Of The Night awards from UFC.
